With Kick Up Fins Rocks, stumps, and other shallow water obstacles are now easier to navigate thanks to the innovative kick up technology.
When you a clear of obstruction and start pedaling again the fins automatically lock back into position. This equally clever and very convenient design goes a long way to mitigate damaged fins and practically eliminates the possibility of bent masts, which has the potential reduce maintenance costs over time.
REVERSE (aka 180) plus KICK UP
The 180 model means your drive can propel the kayak both forward and reverse. With a quick pull of the shifters the fins pivot 180° to allow for instant direction changes. Combined with the new Kick-Up fin design, the MD180 system inspires confidence and control.
FIN SIZE
There are 2 sizes of Fins available. The standard fins get the job done for sure! They are also a great asset in shallower waters and more than adequate in most situations. However, if you are looking for a bit more speed, the Turbo Fins are it! They provide extra power with every pedal stroke. Definitely consider the Turbo fins if you need extra thrust for a larger kayak model such as the Hobie Pro Angler or Vibe Shearwater.
